Kolkata office of the insurance ombudsman receives the maximum number of complaints for both life and non-life products. Around 100 life and non life complaints come every month which amounts to 1,200-1,500 annually. In case of non-life products the complaints come mainly from medical and motor insurance products, K Rangabhashyam, insurance ombudsman, Kolkata said. According to him most of the complaints are against the public sector insurers.
