Health Insurance Rule Change: Delays in settling health insurance claims by insurance companies or third-party administrators (TPAs) — intermediaries between insurance companies, the insured, and hospitals have often become a nightmare for patients and their families. Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has released a master circular on May 29, 2024 to empower health insurance policyholders.
