Unique Identification Authority of India (UIAI) will take the services of banks, insurance companies, oil companies, state governments to enrol people into the UIAI database. Already 9 states have given their consent to partner with the organisation, said Nandan M Nilekani, chairman of UIAI. Speaking at the IDRBT foundation day lecture in Hyderabad on Thursday, he said the roll out should happen within the next 10-12 months.
