Insurers call for tax breaks, clarity on GST & tax code...

The fast growing Indian insurance industry has put forward its wishlist for the Budget 2010. Most of these insurers demands are pertaining to tax-related issues. Amarnath Ananthanarayanan, CEO of Bharti AXA General Insurance, said although the insurance sector has been termed as the Sunrise Industry in India, last year s Budget did not carry any exciting highlights for the sector.
