Shriram Group to explore Asian mkts

Shriram Group, which has interests in chit funds, insurance, truck and retail financing among other financial services, is keen on expanding its general insurance activities in the overseas markets further. After having made small inroads into Philippines nearly one-and-half years ago with a local JV partner, Shriram group is all set to enter the Indonesian market by year-end, followed by other Asian countries in the joint venture mode.
