Berkshire India JV's insurance policy sales plunge as Warren Buffett magic wanes

Warren Buffett's magic in selling insurance policies for its Indian unit has waned as sales plunged to less than a tenth from the month of launch when buyers were promised an opportunity to meet the legendary investor. Most customers, including well-known brokers and fund managers, had queued up on the launch day in end-March to listen to Buffett whose maiden visit to India was primarily aimed at promoting the company.
